Article Marketing – Rubbish Traffic?

My last post was about making a small investment to get some instant free traffic; today I want to talk to you about article marketing. Article marketing is essentially about writing an article on a specific topic and at the end of the article including links to your blog or website in the hope that the readers will click through and you receive traffic. Does article marketing only generate rubbish traffic though, after all it is free?
The traffic you receive from your articles is as good as the information included in the content you write and its relevancy to your reader and the site you send them to. If you write an article on natural beauty therapy and then send those visitors to a blog about cosmetic surgery then that could very well be rubbish traffic. If however you send the reader to a site full of natural beauty products then you could call that good quality targeted traffic.
There is of course many ways to take article marketing to a massive level but as a basic way to ensuring your initial efforts don’t go to waste keep these three simple things in mind:
1. What is your target customer searching for? Learn this using Google’s Free Keyword Tool.
2. Write and submit a good quality article answering your target customer’s concerns and leave them ‘wanting’ for more.
3. Send your article readers to a site full of even more information they are searching for.
Once you receive that target customer at your site and you deliver lots of quality information for them they’ll probably stick around, read your reviews on specific products, maybe click on some Adsense ads or even on an affiliate product and purchase something! Keep top of mind your target customer’s needs and you’ll keep them coming back for more!
